Brushstrokes of Purpose is The Hickman’s Art of Caring community paint-by-number mural fundraiser, offering a creative, hands-on way to support our mission of care and community. Sponsor a curated color section, gather your group, and take part in a guided painting experience that helps create a lasting work of art.
This multi-year legacy initiative will feature six mural panels, each inspired by one of the Quaker Testimonies: Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship. Designed by muralist Noah Burns, each 4’ x 4’ panel is completed one color section at a time through hosted painting parties with families, friends, businesses, and community groups.

Through Brushstrokes of Purpose, sponsors help sustain The Hickman’s mission while becoming part of a legacy project that reflects the values of care, creativity, and community.
How It Works
Sponsors make a $500 donation to sponsor one curated color section of a mural panel. Each sponsorship includes a hosted painting party at The Hickman for up to six participants.
We provide everything needed for the experience, including the pre-sketched mural panel, paint, brushes, smocks, instructions, refreshments, and on-site coordination—so you can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.
Sponsor Recognition
Completed mural panels will be displayed in The Hickman’s tunnel hallway alongside our existing mural installation. Sponsors will also be recognized on a dedicated donor wall displayed with the murals.
