Having several residents reach 100 and beyond is no coincidence, it’s a reflection not only of a life well-lived, but of the extraordinary care and vibrant community at The Hickman. It's for this reason we are so excited to share the life of our fifth centenarian, Ms. Jane Geeting, a lifelong educator and pioneer who broke social norms as a working mother in the 1950s. Jane inspired generations through her passion, service, and unwavering belief in the power of education.

Turning 100 is more than a milestone, it’s a reflection of a life filled with purpose, connection, and care. At The Hickman, we are privileged to be home to five thriving centenarians, including Mrs. Josephine Teseroni, who celebrated her 100th birthday in March. Josephine's life story is a beautiful example of how exceptional care and meaningful engagement make each year richer than the last.

From a close-knit childhood in Pennsylvania coal country to decades of dedication to family and community, Mrs. Anne O'Brien’s remarkable 100-year journey shows that longevity is about more than just years—it’s about living fully. At The Hickman, we’re proud to provide a warm, supportive environment where residents like Anne continue to thrive and find purpose and connection.

At The Hickman, our centenarians don’t just live, they thrive. With a nurturing environment that supports vibrant aging, we are honored to share the incredible life of Mrs. Thelma Joseph, who recently turned 102. Her story of lifelong learning, global adventures, and compassionate service is a shining example of how our community empowers residents to continue growing, connecting, and inspiring.

It’s a rare and special privilege to know someone who has lived to be 100. At The Hickman, we are proud to have not just one, but five residents who have reached this incredible milestone. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing the stories of each of these extraordinary residents in our new Centenarian Series. Their lives reflect a strength, resilience, and quiet wisdom that only time can teach — and we’re proud to provide the compassionate care and supportive environment that allows them to continue to thrive.
