We regret to inform you, that due to the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) to our residents, we have canceled the Art of Caring event on March 21st.
I’m sure you understand, the health and safety of The Hickman’s residents, must come first. Bringing hundreds of people onto The Hickman campus for the event could potentially expose our vulnerable resident population to the virus. We cannot risk having COVID-19 enter their homes.
To those who have sponsored, bought tickets, and/or made a donation in honor of the event, we are currently making every effort to call you. We greatly appreciated your support of Art of Caring and we are very sorry for any inconvenience. We can provide you with a full refund or convert your sponsorship/purchase into a donation. Your donation will still go towards The Hickman’s Resident Assistance Fund. As you know, The Fund provides for residents who are facing financial hardships and are no longer able to afford their room, board, and/or personal care needs.
For those who made a donation of artwork or another type of item, we are exploring innovative ways to auction those pieces and will keep you updated on the outcome. However, if you would like your item returned, we will send it back to you.
Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience. Please contact Charles “Ebbie” Alfree – email@example.com or (484) 760-6416 – if you would like a refund, to have your item returned, or for more information and questions.
