Nancy Thompson

Nancy Thompson has taught and painted in Chester County for over 30 years. She studied at Moore College of Art, Beaver College, and Penn State University. Her Yellow Ribbon design sold nationally through QVC to benefit Red Cross during the Persian Gulf War. Nancy’s paintings include many historical sites with a human touch. She participated in the 2004 Harrisburg “Cow Parade” by painting a fiberglass cow to commemorate the work of historical muralist Violet Oakley.

Nancy is the only artist to have participated in all eight years of The Hickman’s Art of Caring event! This year, she has interpreted many of the famous bird paintings of John Audubon to create a table that is stunning in its choice of color, composition and fine craftsmanship. The unique use of a light color stain makes the table a true stand-out!
